How do simple circuits work:
An electric circuit is a thin passageway made of wires that electrons can use to flow through and start over again continuously. A battery or any other power source gives the force (or voltage) that causes the electrons to move through an object and power it. When the electrons get to any device such as a light bulb, computer, a refrigerator, or a phone, they give the power needed to make them work. One simple example is an electric light which has two wires connected directly to the light. For this light bulb to work, there must be a complete circuit so that the electrons can flow through the light bulb. Afterward, the electrons then come back around to do it all over again. The word “circuit” sounds like “circle,” and a circuit needs to be circular in order to complete itself so it can work. The wires have to go from the power source to the device and back again in a circular motion so that the electrons can go out and then come back to do their job. Many circuits have a switch so that they can be turned on and off. When the switch is turned off, it makes a gap in the circuit and the electrons are unable to flow around that gap. When the switch is turned on by the user, it closes the gap and the electricity is able to move quickly and efficiently to make the device work and turn on. This is all how simple circuits are in things. Plus these are also some reasons on how simple circuits work.
